about Arina Tanemura: Arina was born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, March 12, 1978. Her mangas are always shoujo. She's known for Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, which is also an anime. Her works are published in the manga magazine Ribon and are popular in many countries. Almost everybody, I dare say, knows a Arina manga when sees it: her drawings are very, very characteristic and she has a unique style. Her characters are always sweet and even the bad ones turn out to have a good side. Her boy characters are most of the times bishounens! ^_^

story: Mitsuki is a 12 year old orphan girl who lives with her grandmother. She loves to sing but she has a throat cancer that only an operation can treat; the only problem is that doctors have to remove her volcal cords to save her life. But Mitsuki made a promise with Eichii, a boy she met at an orphanage, and with who she fell in love with, that someday she would become a singer and he would become an astronomer. Mitsuki can't let they do the operation! One day she mets accidentally with two Shinigamis, Gods of Death, Takuto and Meroko, and they tell her that she has only a year more to live. This makes Mitsuki make up her mind and try her very best to accomplish the promise with her dear Eicchii. With the help of Takuto, who appears to develop feelings for Mitsuki, and Meroko Mitsuki will give her very best to achieve her goal.
